The courtroom was packed. The trial closed to cameras. However, followers of an high-profile triple homicide in a suburban Connecticut neighborhood were able to learn all the gory details from reporters who Twittered about it at a frantic pace. The case involving prominent doctor, William A. Petit Jr., whose wife and daughters were killed by intruders, was followed intensely because of its strong local interest. That prompted a Twittering frenzy by mainstream Connecticut newspapers and other news organizations. A sign of the times we live in.
