The Tribune Co. has appointed Donna Granato as vice president/corporate finance and investor relations. Granato will be responsible for all aspects of investor communications and will work with the company’s executive team on a broad range of strategic, financial and operational initiatives. Granato assumes her new duties immediately; she will report to Steven Berns, Tribune’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
“Donna is a great addition to the Tribune team,” said Berns. “Her talent and experience in a variety of roles at different companies within the media sector is a terrific fit for the company.”
Prior to joining Tribune, Granato held financial and operational roles of increasing responsibility in such areas as investor relations, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She has deep media and communications experience, having worked at CBS, Viacom, Interpublic Group, MDC Partners and Omnicom. She also spent two years as a media investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney.
Granato is a certified public accountant. She graduated from Rider University's undergraduate accounting program and earned an MBA from New York University.
