By: E&P Staff Tribune Co. Wednesday announced it was adding TicketNetwork Direct's online inventory of event tickets and information to the Web sites at all its newspapers, television and radio properties.
Tribune said the deal will give its readers, viewers and listeners access to more than $1 billion in ticket inventory.
The agreement includes the web sites of Tribune's eight newspapers, 23 television stations, and WGN Radio.
TicketNetwork CEO Don Vaccaro said in a statement, "Concerts, sporting events and shows are often sold out in large cities due to high demand, and this partnership will fill that void with TicketNetwork providing ticket buyers with quality seats to live entertainment coast to coast."
Jonathan Ozeran, Tribune's manager of product innovation, said the agreement enhanced Tribune media properties' reputations as "the go-to source for local news, information and entertainment."
"TicketNetwork's leadership position and expansive ticket inventory were critical to selecting them as a partner" he added.
