By: (AP) Tribune Co., publisher of the Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times, said Tuesday that total revenue for the month of May fell 1.9 percent to $458 million from $467 million last year.
Publishing revenue totaled $323 million, 0.6 percent lower than last May's $325 million. Advertising revenue increased 0.3 percent to $256 million compared with $255 million in May 2004. Excluding Newsday, which implemented lower ad rates as the result of the significant reduction in reported circulation in September 2004, advertising revenue were up 2 percent.
