HealthKey will draw its content from Tribune newspapers, TV stations and Web sites, including the flagship Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Content includes topics such as general wellness, women and men's health, healthy aging and fitness.
Among its interactive tools are symptom and drug interaction checkers and calculators for target heart rate and calorie consumption. HealthKey includes House Call, an expert advice column, a directory of health topics from A to Z, and glossaries for traditional and alternative health terms.
"HealthKey.com provides consumers with useful information in an entertaining, nonclinical manner," said Tribune Interactive President Marc Chase. "More importantly, Healthkey.com empowers individuals to manage their health choices to achieve a balanced, happy life."
Throughout October, HealthKey.com will be wrapped in pink in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month and will focus on breast cancer topics.
