By: Staff Reports Los Angeles Times' Recycler Introduces Compra
Compra makes its debut Friday in Southern California, as Recycler Classifieds, a Tribune Co. subsidiary, tries to extend classified newspapers and specialty magazines into to the Spanish-speaking market.
Compra, which means "buy" in English, will be formatted as a magazine-styled paper and contain more than 400 categories, including autos, automotive parts, rentals, entertainment, pets, and employment. The free weekly will be distributed in Los Angeles every Friday via street racks, convenience stores, and other outlets.
Recycler Classifieds is managed by the Los Angeles Times, a Tribune
