By: E&P Staff Tribune Media Services (TMS) has formed a partnership with local events search engine Zvents. Under the agreement, TMS will sell Zvents content along with its own movie, celebrity and sports content.
Zvents creates online event guides and its platform allows newspaper and magazine publishers to easily format their event listings for the print editions.
"We're excited to start 2009 with another new partner that makes TNS entertainment data even more valuable," Kathy Tolstrup, general manager, sales and marketing for TNS' entertainment products division, said in a statement. "This partnership allows Zvents and TNS to bring an unprecedented combination of entertainment data and local search technology to our joint customers."
TMS powers television and movie guide products for clients including Microsoft, TiVo, IMDB, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. Zvents powers local search and advertising for a network of more than 300 print, online and broadcast guides for AOL, MSN, Boston.com, SFGate.com, McClatchy, MediaNews Group and MTV.
