By: E&P Staff Tribune Co. is putting up for sale the offices and production plants of two Connecticut newspapers it unloaded last November.
The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday that the company's new director of real estate, Stephanie Pater, said the former offices and plants of The Advocate in Stamford and the Greenwich Time will be sold separately. The property was not part of the sale of the papers to Hearst Corp., which relocated the offices of the dailies.
Pater said there is no set price for the properties. This will be the second property transaction since Sam Zell, who made his fortune in real estate, took Tribune private in an employee stock option plan. Earlier this year, Tribune sold a film studio and other buildings on a lot it owned in Los Angeles for $125 million.
