The Chicago Tribune will leave its namesake tower by midyear, but the building’s owners want the newspaper’s exterior signage to stay put.
A venture of Los Angeles-based CIM Group and Chicago’s Golub & Co. on Wednesday sued the Tribune, alleging that as the tower’s owner, it has the right to buy the sign for $1 and keep it displayed on the tower.
