Tribune's Seventh CCI AdDesk Sales System

By: E&P Staff Newsday, Melville, N.Y., and SCNI (Connecticut's Greenwich Times and Stamford Advocate) have signed an agreement to install a 150-seat CCI AdDesk Sales from CCI Europe, Kennsaw, Ga. It is the seventh such purchase among Tribune Co.'s dailies.

CCI AdDesk Sales provides a single view of the customers. Its one-order, one-bill feature helps streamline back-office procedures and improve customer service.

"With regards to customer service, having a standardized platform will simplify the way our customers do business with us," said Newsday Publishing Software Manager Dan Egan. "Operators in the call center are provided with a range of intuitive functionality to facilitate the booking and up-selling of ads across not only our products, but the entire Tribune portfolio."

Newsday and SCNI sought a system to upgrade their technology infrastructure with a system offering e-commerce capabilities and flexible design.

With the WebOrderEntry application, Egan said. "Customers will be able to retrieve their own account information as well as be able to place ads through the Internet, effectively creating access to our products 24/7."
