By: E&P Staff Mediaspectrum Inc. in Burlington, Mass., has deployed for Britain's Trinity Mirror Plc its Media 2.0 content-management platform, a Web-services-based solution for all aspects of advertising, editorial, community and e-commerce. Its ContentWatch and AdWatch scale to handle complex media environments.

One of the United Kingdom's largest newspaper publishers, with five national dailies, more than 150 regional papers and 400-plus Web sites, Trinity Mirror required a Web-based content-management system that could handle all its editorial and advertising content.

ContentWatch is an editorial content-management solution for publishing to multiple channels. AdWatch provides the ability to track virtually any type of digital or print advertisement across an entire organization.

ContentWatch is now in place across the group's Midlands business; AdWatch has been implemented in the nationals division, the Midlands business and Trinity Mirror Southern.

"With an enterprise as large as Trinity Mirror, we needed an open, online solution that was scalable, straightforward to implement and easy to use," Trinity Mirror Group IT Director Tony Pusey said in a statement. "Driving efficiencies ... involved pooling together different businesses that were-at one point-all on different systems."

After looking at solutions on the market tree years ago, Trinity Mirror selected Mediaspectrum for a pilot program, which was delivered on spec, on budget and ahead of schedule, according to Pusey.
