In today's letters, a reader questions a description of President Bush as a "devout Christian," and more responses to ABC's "Path to 9/11" miniseries.***
Bush's Christian Devotion QuestionedWas Time magazine kidding? Must have been a joke! How can anyone who is a critical thinker
write that Bush is a devout Christian? He is a fascist who spit on the people, the country, the constitution and the name of Christ by his evil actions. Can you spell w-a-r c-r-i-m-i-n-a-l? And now these fools at The Washington Post are hiring Gerson. Wonder what sort of quid pro quo that involved.

More on ABC's 9/11 Docu-DramaWhat is the point of
producing an elaborate "docu-drama" of current events using factual sources and actors playing real people with their actual names -- and then disclaiming adherence to the truth through dramatic license and calling it essentially fiction? It just doesn't make any sense. Even Walt Disney must be turning over in his grave and muttering, "How Mickey Mouse is that?!"

First, let the warriors fight the wars. It is amazing that we allow the politicians and bureaucrats make field level operational decisions. Once we decide to put our boys in the field, the Sandy Berger and Richard Clarks of the world should not be given a vote. When Clark came on the screen and tried to defend the decision to not take out Bin Laden because the enemy had "two tanks" and "our guys would have been slaughtered," that is a decision that the field commanders need to make, not an idiot like him. They are the ones staring down the barrel of the enemy, not he. And they, not he, should decide if they can do the job. And Sandy Berger needs worry more about winning than getting his next paycheck because all he seems to care about is keeping a job. If that is how this country fights wars, we all need to bone up on our Arabic.
