By: E&P Staff Classified advertising software solutions maker Ranger Data Technologies has named the Tulsa (Okla.) World as its "Most Valued Paper" for 2008.
The award is "given annually to the newspaper that applies our technology in the most effective and efficient manner," with factors including revenue increases, sales statistics, product integration techniques and team motivation.
Tulsa World Classified Manager Shannon Hayden was recognized as the "driving force" behind the achievement and will receive a personalized Ranger Data Technologies varsity jacket, the company said.
Tulsa World installed the company's Outbound Ranger call management system in early 2008. The paper had "substantial" classified revenue gains and greater outbound call volume, Ranger Data said.
"Outbound Ranger has become an integral part of our daily workflow at the Tulsa World," Hayden said in a prepared statement released by Ranger Data. "In addition to revenue gains, we have seen our sales staff embrace the software as an organizational tool. We not only use the software for our classified/retail call centers, we have expanded its use to include outside reps for prospecting efforts."
