By: E&P Staff Garry Trudeau has once again listed America's war dead in his "Doonesbury" comic.
On Sunday, the day before Memorial Day, Trudeau named soldiers who have died since April 23, 2005. The listings are slated to continue this coming Sunday.
Universal Press Syndicate distributes "Doonesbury" to about 1,400 newspapers.
Also this past Sunday, cartoonist Stephan Pastis did a "Pearls Before Swine" comic that showed five places the characters usually appear. But there were no characters and no dialogue.
The United Media strip ended with these words: "A moment of silence in honor of the American men and women killed in Iraq and Afghanistan."
