Uclick Offers 'USA Today' Crossword Puzzle for the iPhone

By: E&P Staff USA Today's crossword puzzle is now available on the iPhone, announced Uclick, the online sister company of Universal Press Syndicate.

The new iPhone version of the crossword features the same 15x15 puzzles that appear each weekday in the print and online editions of USA Today.

Included is an interface designed specifically for the iPhone that automatically downloads new puzzles daily -- with the puzzles becoming more challenging as the week progresses. In addition, users can search hundreds of archived daily puzzles and download, save, and play offline.

The download also includes the Uclick-created "Quick Cross" puzzle, which offers eight clues to solve in a 4x4 grid. Every answer is a four-letter word, acronym, name, prefix, or abbreviation. A timer encourages puzzle players to beat their best times.
