By: E&P Staff United Media's Newspaper Enterprise Association will syndicate the conservative commentary of Byron York, chief political correspondent for The Washington Examiner, beginning the week of March 16.
York?s column replaces ?The Conservative Advocate? by William Rusher, who retired this week after 36 years in syndication.
?My column is a reporting-based column, coming from Washington, with the latest from capital insiders -- but also with a sense of life outside the Beltway bubble,? York, an Alabama native, said in a release. ?To me, reporting is the key; I?ve never assumed people were interested simply in finding out what I think."
York has served as White House correspondent for both National Review magazine and National Review Online. He is a weekly columnist for The Hill, and his work has been published in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Atlantic Monthly, New Republic and Weekly Standard.
He is also the author of ?The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy: The Untold Story of How Democratic Operatives, Eccentric Billionaires, Liberal Activists, and Assorted Celebrities Tried to Bring Down a President ? and Why They?ll Try Even Harder Next Time.?
