By: E&P Staff For those attending next week's sold-out San Diego Comic Con, Universal Uclick has announced that they will be represented at the event.
Among the artists scheduled to be present at the Uclick GoComics booth are Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Pat Oliphant, Richard Thompson, creator of "Cul de Sac," and Ruben Bolling, creator of "Tom the Dancing Bug." "FoxTrot" creator Bill Amend is expected to appear at the booth on Saturday.
In addition to the personal appearances, the Uclick GoComics booth will also be giving away prizes each day, including tickets to next Friday's Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles 25th Anniversary Party. Other prizes to be distributed include free iPhone comic book apps throughout each day of the Con, and an iPod Touch on Saturday. The iPod Touch will feature all 130+ Uclick-produced comic book apps, including 11 issues of Jeff Smith?s comic "Bone" and 12 issues of "Tales of the Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles."
The featured product at the UClick booth will be Stan Lee?s newest creation, set to be unveiled on Tuesday. The weekend will be capped off with a discussion of the trend toward digital comic books, featuring Sunday Press Books founder Pete Maresca and Uclick editor/comics producer Shena Wolf.
