Upcoming 'Blondie' Book Includes History of the Comic

By: E&P Staff "Blondie: The Complete Bumstead Family History" will be published this August by Thomas Nelson.

The hardcover book -- by "Blondie" writer Dean Young and Melena Ryzik -- focuses on the long-running comic's history, characters, and creators. Various strips are also reprinted.

"Blondie," started in 1930 by Chic Young (Dean's father), runs in more than 2,000 newspapers via King Features Syndicate.
