By: E&P Staff The latest polls from New Hampshire seem to show that Barack Obama and John McCain continue to hold their newly-acquired leads.
USA Today reports tonight: "Amid frenetic last-minute campaigning, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds the onetime front-runners in New Hampshire lagging as Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain have surged to leads before Tuesday's primary.
"Obama vaulted to a 13 percentage-point advantage over New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton three weeks after they were tied here. McCain gained a four-point edge over Mitt Romney, a former governor of neighboring Massachusetts who has campaigned almost as a favorite son."
A brand new Rasmussen survey finds Obama with a 12% lead over Clinton. up 2% since yesterday and matching the 12% edge in Saturday's ARG poll.
Earlier today, the Mason-Dixon/MSNBC poll showed Obama with a two point lead of Hillary Clinton. at 33% to 31%, McCain leading Mitt Romney by 32% to 24%. John Edwards and Mike Huckabee remain distant thirds in all polls.
A new Zogby poll shows Clinton and Romney with one point leads, but some of that sample dates back to before the Iowa caucus. CNN calls it dead even between Obama and Clinton. RealClearPolitics.com, which averages all polls, gives Obama a 34-31 edge over Clinton, and McCain 33% to 28% over Romney.
