By: E&P Staff United Press International will discontinue its "Perspectives" package -- eliminating 14 positions, it said -- and also launch a new product line.
According to UPI's Web site, "Perspectives" offers readers commentary, stories, interviews, and more on economic, financial, policy, scientific, geopolitical, and sociological topics. The package includes 40 to 50 elements per weekday.
The new product line -- which UPI said will start "soon" -- includes analytical information addressing security, technology, and other issues.
