U.S., Brazilian Papers Order Manugraph DGM Equipment

By: E&P Staff Manugraph DGM Inc., Elizabethville, has received press and auxiliary orders from four Brazilian and three U.S. newspaper publishers.

Republica Comunicacoes Ltd., Cuiaba, Brazil, ordered an eight-unit Cityline Express press with an F122 folder. The press is to be configured as two 4/4 towers, with UV curing capability on one tower.

For its Jornal de Jundai, Lauda Editora ordered six Cityline Express units (configured as a 4/4 tower and a 2/2 tower) and a new F122 folder to be added to its Cityline Express press. The new 4/4 tower will have UV curing.

Equipment for Cuiaba and Jundai is scheduled for March delivery. "This is our third new Cityline Express press for Brazil with UV curing sold in the last six months", MDGM International Sales Vice President Ron Ehrhardt said in a statement.

RBS - Zero Hora Editora Jornalistica ordered a new MDGM 1240 jaw folder for its A Noticia, in Joinville, where it will replace a Goss SC folder in May.

In Porto Alegre, Emprensa Portoalegrense de Comunicacao - O Sul ordered a new Manugraph F222 jaw folder as an addition to its Manugraph Newsline 20 press.

Closer to home, the Dominion Post, Morgantown, W.Va., ordered a new MDGM 1050 rotary folder to replace a Goss Urbanite folder. The new folder ships next month.

The Indiana (Pa.) Gazette will get two angle bar/slitter/realigner assemblies to enable its Goss Urbanite press to produce three-wide webs (six broadsheet pages), for web widths up to 36 inches.

Home News Enterprises, Greenfield, Ind., will integrate two used DGM 430 four-high towers with its DGM 430 press.
