USA Today has redesigned and expanded its travel Web site, www.travel.USATODAY.com. The newly enhanced site provides expert travel-planning news and information, actionable advice and tips, and more tools and apps to help readers travel smarter and cheaper.
Featuring a new interface and a featured list of travel-related top stories, the site now also includes expanded and detailed destination content on 295 locations around the globe, enriched with maps and photos. A new "Travel Tips" section provided by Demand Media delivers more than 4,000 consumer tips and videos on such travel topics as finding deals on airfare and hotels and traveling with kids on a business trip.
"Dispatches,” a new destinations blog, features insider news, updates and mini trip reports. A new "Deals" section features money-saving strategies and best offerings, while the “Track a Flight” section allows users to enter a flight number check to see if an arrival or departure is on time.
The site’s Unique Airport Guides provide insider tips on dining, shopping, Wi-Fi, security and transportation, plus interactive maps and real-time arrival and departure boards, for the 50 busiest airports in the U.S.
