By: E&P Staff USA Today has launched a new lifestyle magazine, Open Air, covering topics from workout tips to athletic gear to travel destinations. The magazine will publish quarterly in the Friday editions of USA Today.

Open Air "geared towards the busy, well-informed, affluent consumer," as described in a statement. Content is designed for readers with a healthy, active lifestyle and a taste for adventure, with many articles about travel and outdoor activities.

The magazine will have 11 regular departments, including Drive Time, which describes ?off-beat weekend trips,? Adventures in Eating, which covers nutrition and food ?with an adventurous twist,? and My Moment, a first-person profile of a life-changing experience, the statement details.

The first issue, which hits newsstands March 7, tackles a variety of subjects, from discussing camping food with Chef Mario Batali of Food Network fame, to telling the story of three triathletes who compete in honor of their brother who died in a car accident.

The magazine will also be fully available online on the same day of print publication at openair.usatoday.com. This year?s later issues will come out May 2, Sept. 5, and Nov. 7.
