By: E&P Staff Two family-owned publishing companies, The Fredericksburg (Va.) Free Lance-Star and Baltimore-based Afro-American Newspapers, will install the AdMAX system from Software Consulting Services LLC, Nazareth, Pa. AdMAX features convenient order entry, availability of sales data on demand, and flexible reporting functionality.
The 47,734-circulation Free Lance-Star, which also publishes several weeklies and supplementals, will use AdMAX for retail and classified order entry, including the AdMAX Web module for online order entry and customer maintenance, and accounts receivable. AdMAX will integrate with the paper's existing SCS systems -- SCS/ClassPag classified pagination and Layout-8000 ad dummying.
Afro-American Newspapers, publisher of a weekly circulating approximately 20,000 copies, as well as a monthly supplemental, purchased AdMAX for retail and classified advertising and Layout-8000 for ad dummying, both running on the Linux operating system.
