By: E&P Staff Valassis announced that Q2 revenues increased 7.7% to $276.4 million compared to the same quarter last year. Net earnings for the same period were $25.5 million or $.50 in earnings per share. EPS for the first six months of 2005 was up 7.1% from $.98 to $1.05. The company raised the full-year 2005 guidance range to be between $1.96 and $2.08.

Co-op FSI revenues for Q2 were up 1.6% to $134.4 million. The increase was due to continued industry unit growth and an additional publishing date in the second quarter compared to the prior year, offsetting a slight reduction in co-op FSI pricing.
ROP revenues generated from the brokering of advertising space on behalf of newspapers increased 1.5% to $27.3 million.
Neighborhood Targeted product revenues grew 28% to $72.2 million. The increase in revenue was primarily attributed to growth in preprints form the telecommunications, retail, and food service customer verticals.
Household Targeted product revenues advanced 3.1% to $16.6 million.
