Valerie Plame: Compares Editorial in 'Wash Post' Blaming Her Husband for Her Troubles to 'Pravda'

By: E&P Staff Appearing on the Today Show this morning, Valerie Plame Wilson, the former CIA officer outed by columnist Robert Novak (following administration leaks) covered a wide range of issues, in support of her new book, "Fair Game." She repeated again that the media has been thoroughly wrong in questioning her formerly covert status.

But she seemed to take special notice when asked about a Washington Post editorial that largely blamed her husband, Ambassador Joseph
Wilson, for many of her problems.

Host Meredith Viera read parts of the Post editorial from last year which stated, in part, that "the person most responsible for the end of Ms. Plame's career" was actually her husband.

"I can tell you it was like reading Pravda, which was the newspaper under the Soviet regime," Plame said. "It felt like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland where black is white and white is black."
