Vice president hires a new communications director, Jamal Simmons

Jamal Simmons, a veteran communications aide in Democratic circles, has been tapped to be Vice President Kamala Harris’ communications director, a White House official has confirmed.

The move comes after the top two aides in Harris’ press and communications operation, Symone Sanders and Ashley Etienne, left the office in December.
