By: Staff Reports Goff To Head Web Efforts For Nation's Largest Alternatives
Village Voice Media of New York announced Wednesday that Greg
Goff has been named president of new media and executive vice
president for strategic planning. The alternative newspaper chain
includes The Village Voice of New York and LA
Weekly.
Goff joins Village Voice Media from San Francisco's
Babycenter.com, where he was vice president of marketing and
product development. Previously, he was an executive vice
president at United News & Media. Goff began his career at
Procter & Gamble, where he was a brand manager for Crest
toothpaste.
Village Voice CEO David Schneiderman said Goff will work closely
with the newspaper group's publishers in developing local
Internet strategies. He will also work on corporate-wide ventures
and overall strategic planning for the company's brands.
The company claims a combined circulation of 900,000. Other
newspapers in the chain include Seattle Weekly, City
Pages of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Cleveland Free
Times.
