'Virginian-Pilot' Rebuild Nears Completion

By: E&P Staff Almost finished rebuilding its five Goss Metro presses and converting its 30 pasters to Goss Digital Paster Systems (E&P Online, Aug. 9, 2007), The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk reports better-than-expected results: an 11.6-hour improvement in required weekly production time and a 17% reduction in printed waste.

The 175,005-circulation Landmark Communications daily's
press operations manager, Al Byrd, credited Goss International with "an excellent job of preparing us for each step in the process."
