WALL ST. JOURNAL, LA TIMES WIN BIZ AWARDS

(The Hollywood Reporter) The Wall Street Journal's coverage of
the AOL-Time Warner merger was honored by the Society of American
Business Editors and Writers. The Los Angeles Times also
was hailed for its overall excellence.

A record 492 entries of work published in 2000 were received from
newspapers, business weeklies, wire services, and business news
online sites. Bloomberg News won in the "best in business"
contest, which recognizes the best overall publications and
timely reporting in business journalism.

Other awards of note went to the Dow Jones Newswires for its AOL-
Time Warner coverage and to Susan Zeidler of Reuters for her
coverage of the Napster copyright ruling.

The Society of American Business Editors and Writers Inc.,
headquartered at the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia,
