By: Staff Reports Annual Subscription Price Remains Unchanged
Starting April 2, The Wall Street Journal newsstand price will increase
to $1, from 75 cents, the Journal's first single-copy price hike in 10
years.
The Journal said as the paper has become more expensive to produce, it
needed to raise the cover price to offset its higher costs.
The subscription price of $175 per year for the basic package will stay the
same. It last went up in January 1997.
The Journal, circulation 1,762,751, is owned by Dow Jones & Co.
