Walter Rubel Named Managing Editor of 'Las Cruces (N.M.) Sun-News'

Walter Rubel has been named managing editor of the Las Cruces (N.M.) Sun-News. Rubel, 48, previously served as managing editor from April 2002 until September 2003, when he became the Sun-News' Santa Fe bureau chief. He succeeds Martha Mauritson, who left in January to become managing editor of the Carlsbad (N.M.) Current-Argus.
