Publishers worldwide are still submitting projects for the XMA Cross Media Awards 2010. Deadline for entries is 15 June.

Now in their 5th year, the Cross Media Awards honor publishers who use multimedia platforms to build relationships with local markets, encourage interactivity, and help advertisers create local campaigns. The awards jury looks for news publishers delivering local editorial and advertising content using a variety of media and platforms, including print, Web, mobile, video and events.

Projects that are content-related, business-related or contain both elements are eligible for the awards, presented by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers and sponsored by Adobe and dpa infocom. Visit www.wan-ifra.org/xma for details.

Though local markets differ in size, the challenge is the same for all publishers: to be the number-one resource for news, information and business opportunities in local markets. The XMA Cross Media Awards is open to all projects, whether serving markets of fewer than 1,000 or those of more than a million.

The best 10 entries are invited to attend the award ceremony, which this year will take place on Oct. 4 at the IFRA Expo in Hamburg, Germany.
