Warren Hoge, a former correspondent for The New York Times who covered civil wars in Latin America, the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and numerous global crises before rising to the top ranks of the newspaper’s newsroom leadership, died on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at his home in Manhattan.
