'Wash Post' Chooses New Ad Agency

Posted
By: Jim Lovel (Adweek) The Washington Post has chosen Adworks as its new agency, the shop said.

Privately held Adworks of Washington, D.C., beat Havas' Arnold Worldwide, the three-year McLean, Va., incumbent, in a review for the account. Annual billings were not disclosed.

Adworks said it would introduce a new campaign for the newspaper early next year.

"Look for some very different approaches in the months to come," said Mark Greenspun, partner and creative director at the agency.

Adworks has been the agency for the newspaper's Web site, washingtonpost.com, since 1997. The shop retains that account and will appoint a separate team for the new work, Greenspun said.
