'Wash Post' Launches Election Widget

By: E&P Staff Washingtonpost.com is rolling out a new widget dedicated to the 2008 election. The "Election Collection '08" will cover candidate profiles, biographical information, news feeds, campaign event schedules, and fundraising data.

Interested readers can download the widget to their personalized Web pages, blogs, or social network pages.

"There is a growing demand from readers to be able to access our content when and where they want it -- whether that be on social networking sites or on mobile phones," Jim Brady, executive editor of washingtonpost.com, said in a statement.

The Post is also focusing on mobile browsers and will include an Election '08 channel.
