Posted
By: E&P Staff The Washington Post is shipping digital video cameras to its bureaus and Post reporters will soon be expected to report in multimedia, according to an article by Harry Jaffe in the Washingtonian magazine.

Jaffe quotes the paper's foreign editor Keith Richburg as saying that about 25% of the paper's foreign bureaus and most of the paper's Metro bureaus currently have at least one digital video camera, with reporters encouraged to report, write, and shoot to create a complete package for a news story.

Jaffe quotes WashingtonPost.com editor James Brady as saying that there are approximately 50 Post staffers with video cameras, and notes that video content from around the world has begun to show up on the Web site.
