Washington Blade Showcases History in D.C. With Extensive Photo Archives Available for Purchase Online

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Washington Blade, the LGBT newspaper of record for more than 40 years, announced the online launch of the publication’s extensive photo archives, which will be made available for purchase to the general public next week.

A large selection of photos organized into galleries, including both new and historic images, will be available for sale. Readers can buy color and black-and-white prints and framed photos, or they can choose to turn their favorite images into T-shirts, coffee mugs and other gift items.

The photo archive launches next Thursday, Oct. 6 with a cocktail reception at Cobalt in Washington, D.C.’s historic Dupont Circle neighborhood. Photos will be available for purchase the same day online at washingtonblade.com.

The Washington Blade was founded in 1969 as a black and white, one-sheet community newsletter distributed in D.C.-area bars.
