By: E&P Staff The Washington Examiner experienced a change in management -- the second shuffle to occur in the Philip Anschutz-owned chain in the last two weeks. Scott H. Brooks has replaced Charleen Stewart as vice president of advertising. Most recently, Brooks was an advertising executive with the Akron Beacon Journal in Ohio.
Last week, the San Francisco Examiner announced that John Wilcox would be filling the post of publisher vacated by P. Scott McKibben after McKibben accepted a job as president and COO of Western Color Print in Denver. Wilcox is the former president, publisher, and CEO of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Jim Monaghan, a spokesman for Anschutz, told The Washington Post that the recent changes are "normal turnover."
