WashingtonPost.com Poll Shows Support for Rerun Comic Content

By: E&P Staff It's a relatively small sampling so far, but the majority of readers responding to a WashingtonPost.com poll seem to want "For Better or For Worse" to stick around.

The Post asked: "Do you think newspapers should continue to run comic strips that aren't entirely new content, be they reruns or hybrids?" Of the 283 votes cast so far, 64% said "yes."

As many know by now, the 1979-launched "FBorFW" will return to its beginnings starting Sept. 1 and offer "new-runs" that mix old and new material -- all in Lynn Johnston's old drawing style.

"FBorFW" appears in more than 2,000 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate.
