Stanford startup Watchup announces today that
The Washington Post will be featured on its platform. PostTV,
The Washington Post’s video division, will become available on Watchup’s 3.0 version which is set to launch on March 13th both on iPad, where the app is featured by Apple, and Android tablets for the first time.

The partnership combines
The Washington Post’s award-winning content with Watchup’s user-friendly design for an unparalleled multimedia news experience. Watchup users can expect PostTV content in their newscast, as well as Post Sports Live content.
“What’s really important to us is telling interesting, compelling stories that matter to people,” said Senior Editor of Video, Andrew Pergam. “We are looking forward to incorporating our video content into Watchup’s innovative product and interface.”
The Washington Post launched its video initiative last summer and expanded its in-house production studio in January of this year. Average monthly video starts for political videos produced by PostTV grew 128 percent in the second half of the year after the PostTV launch.
