Web Press to Show Quad-Stack Touch-screen Automation

By: E&P Staff Web Press Corp., Kent, Wash., will feature new controls for its Quad-Stack press unit which will automate ink and water control, including non-linear programmable tracking of the printing press main drives, according to a Web Press release.

Touch screens will replace current button and switch controls (E&P Online, Nov. 30, 2005), and will be located in the front door of the press unit. A master control can be used for single or multiple units. A 15-inch touch-screen master control will be available mounted into a remote console to include additional HMI functions, such as waste monitoring, preventive maintenance, and drive controls.
