By: E&P Staff A "Zippy the Pinhead" collection called "Welcome to Dingburg" will be published next month by Fantagraphics.

Cartoonist Bill Griffith's latest book includes a fold-out "Dingburg Main Street" cover and, in the back, a fold-out aerial view map of Dingburg -- known as "The City Inhabited Entirely by Pinheads," located "17 miles west of Baltimore."

Griffith will sign copies of the collection at the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery in Seattle the evening of Nov. 8. And there will be an exhibition of "Zippy" original art at the gallery from Nov. 8 through Dec. 9. Griffith will present a short slide talk on his work at the Nov. 8 opening/signing.

Another appearance for the King Features Syndicate cartoonist will be Oct. 25 at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., where there will be a morning panel discussion on comics and graphic novels.

Griffith's upcoming book is 160 pages, 48 of which are in full color.

How Dublin Inquirer uses legal risk assessments to keep accountability journalism moving

When Dublin Inquirer publishes a sensitive accountability story, the challenge isn’t just reporting the facts. It’s deciding whether a small, seven-person newsroom can afford the legal risks that sometimes come with telling the public what it needs to know. For editor and co-founder Sam Tranum and deputy editor Lois Kapila, those decisions once came down to late-night conversations and educated guesswork. Today, the independent Dublin newsroom relies on Reporters Shield’s Legal Risk Assessment service to help identify potential legal vulnerabilities before publication—allowing journalists to move forward with greater confidence while keeping important stories alive.
