By: A paper carrier may have saved the life of a 320-pound Wenatchee man who spent two days on his kitchen floor after he fell and couldn?t get up.
Vern Cox, 72, said he probably owes his life to Wenatchee World carrier Robert Jackson.
Cox said he listened for the carrier to deliver the paper on his porch the evening of Dec. 8 and ?whooped like Tarzan.?
Jackson barely heard him calling for help, then brought a neighbor who called 911.
Cox was treated at Central Washington Hospital for dehydration and leg injuries.
