The Conservative Party has swept to a resounding victory in the general election, returning Boris Johnson to Downing Street with a mandate to Get Brexit Done.
Last night, the exit poll predicted that the Conservatives would end up with a working majority of almost 50 seats, 368, whereas Labour could sink below 200 seats for the first time since the 1930s.
