Which Celeb Will Win Wire's Super Bowl Poll?

By: E&P Staff A story about Scripps Howard News Service's annual "Celebrity Super Bowl Poll" is running Thursday on the SHNS wire.

The poll has already been conducted. The person who picks the winning team and most closely predicts the final score will take home the "Super Sage Award" trophy. An SHNS follow-up story announcing the winner is slated for this Monday -- a day after the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Seattle Seahawks.

This year's participants include Fox News host/Creators Syndicate columnist Bill O'Reilly, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, actor Jamie Foxx, U.S. Senators John Kerry (D-Mass.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.), country music star Martina McBride, former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca, and NBA stars Shaquille O'Neal and LeBron James, among many others.

The last three winners of the poll were golfer Arnold Palmer, Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, and actor Dennis Farina.

SHNS, which is marketed by United Media, has more than 400 newspaper clients.
