Whiting, 79, worked on the syndicated "Ad Libs," "Wee Women," and "Li'l Ones" features. The last two were created by Mell Lazarus, who does "Momma" and "Miss Peach" for Creators Syndicate. Lazarus wrote the introduction for "Analecta."

During his career, Whiting has also done cartoons for magazines, ads, and other outlets. And the Southern California Cartoonists Society co-founder has been a radio broadcaster.
