The five candidates who received the most votes in the I Want Media-The Week magazine poll are (in alphabetical order): Jayson Blair, David Bloom, Bonnie Fuller, Paris Hilton, and TiVo.

Tina Brown will announce the winner on the first weekly edition of CNBC's "Topic A with Tina Brown" this Sunday evening, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. EST. Thousands of votes were cast in the online poll to name the "media icon" of the year, according to IWantMedia.

Voter comments are posted online. New York Daily News owner Mort Zuckerman e-mailed in his vote for Jayson Blair, remarking: "He shook up the entire view of The New York Times, that it is the single-most important media platform in the country."
