By: E&P Staff A weekly Q&A column by business experts Jack and Suzy Welch is being offered by the New York Times Syndicate.
The husband-and-wife team authored this year's best-selling "Winning," which is also the name of the new column.
Jack Welch previously authored the best-selling autobiography "Jack: Straight From the Gut." The former General Electric CEO was credited with growing the company and increasing profits. But he was hit with a torrent of bad press three years ago when his then-wife Jane revealed during divorce proceedings that Welch was receiving lavish perks -- reportedly including 24-hour access to a private jet and use of a $15-million Manhattan apartment -- even after his 2001 retirement from GE. After the perks were publicized, Welch agreed to give up or pay for some of them.
Suzy Welch is the former editor of the Harvard Business Review and a former reporter for The Washington Post, The Miami Herald, and the Associated Press.
The new column discusses "what it takes to win," according to the syndicate.
