By: E&P Staff The Winston-Salem (N.C.) Journal is shuttering its daily business section and cutting staff, according to the paper.

The paper plans to publish its business section only on Sundays. During the week, business stories will be found in the local section. The Sunday living and arts sections will be combined into one.

The Media General-owned paper is eliminating five positions.

"As we all know our industry is experiencing rapid changes in how consumers gather their news and information, and advertiser spending in traditional media is undergoing fundamental shifts," Mike Miller, president and publisher, told his paper.
